Adventuring in Style
In my eyes, the Filson Medium Dry Duffel is one sturdy waterproof duffel bag. What I like most about it are its beautiful dark green color and the bulletproof nylon fabric. It’s the same material that Filson uses for its waterproof backpacks such as the Filson Dry Bag and the Filson Dry Bag. It withstands even the heaviest downpour and is flexible enough to fit it into the stern of a kayak or between to suitcases in a trunk which gives you a nice degree of flexibility
Simplicity is Key
The beauty of this bag lies in its simplicity. It opens to one main big compartment with a velcro closure that – once rolled up – can be closed with additional clasps on each side. This ensures that everything inside is nicely protected from the elements and gives you flexibility in terms of how much you want to pack into the Filson
The Filson Dry Duffel comes with a removable shoulder strap. As you can imagine, this means that it will give you some comfort to carry your bag over your shoulder, however it cannot be compared to shoulder straps on a backpack for example. I tend to swing the one strap over my shoulder and wear it across my chest when the back is fully loaded. I’ve found this to be the best way to distribute the weight as evenly as possible.
Craftsmanship that Speaks Volumes
For me, a brand’s commitment to quality is non-negotiable, and Filson’s legacy stands tall. The Medium Dry Duffel isn’t just a bag; it’s a testament to Filson’s century-old dedication to creating gear that lasts. The meticulous stitching, the reinforced stress points, and that iconic Filson logo—it’s not just about a bag; it’s about being part of a legacy.
Final Thoughts: Filson Dry Duffel Bag Review
In my opinion, if you want a blend of style, durability, and practicality, the Filson Medium Dry Duffel is the way to go. It’s not just a bag; it’s a statement of readiness for whatever life throws at you. I’ve become a big fan of the Medium Dry Duffel due to its bulletproof design, easy opening and closure and its cool, timeless look.
